Using Your Time and Talents
A good “serving fit” feels natural and looks like an extension of you. Once you find a rewarding place to serve, your energy is contagious and is a catalyst for spiritual growth.
If you feel a nudge to start serving at Faith please contact the church office at 352-589-5433 or email@example.com.

IN THE COMMUNITY
Four times a year volunteers pick up trash along Old Mount Dora Road to 441. Supplies are furnished.
Agape Food Ministries
Faith collects food four times a year on the 5th Sunday as well as when requested. The school also collects food for as a part of their chapel offerings and during special events throughout the school year.
Help make Christmas a little better for needy children in our community. We let them know that they haven't been forgotten and share with them the love of Jesus Christ.
Volunteers are needed to fill out gift ideas on angels, decorate a Christmas tree in the narthex with the angels, and help coordinate gifts for families. The tree will be put up in late November with the gifts due back by a specified date in December. Families select an angel, buy your child his or her wish gift and bring it to the church on the date posted.
Free Meal for those in Need
Fourth Saturday of the month at 11 a.m. Support this ministry by sharing your time and attention with those in need!
Stuffed Animal Ministry
A collection bin is in the church office for new and gently used stuffed animals. These stuffed animals are cleaned and taken to local nursing homes.
Tender Love Care Sewing Ministry
Tender Loving Care Sewing Ministry is an extension of the Lutheran Services of Florida. A group of women from Faith Lutheran Church sew clothes for under-privileged children from PEPPI Headstart School in Belle Glade, Florida. These clothes made for boys and girls range in size from 4 to 10. Two weeks before Christmas, a group of volunteers deliver the clothes to the school. The group also collects new underwear and socks to be included with the clothes that are delivered for Christmas. In addition, small quilts size 36" x 40" are made for the children to use during their nap times.
The volunteers meet the second Monday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall to sew or pick up supplies to sew at home. Fabric, thread and buttons are all donated.
Volunteers develop a sign-up chart for donations, shop for food with financial donations, and put together baskets for needy families in the local area.
